A great urge
Lily’s parents constantly kept her away from the dog out of fear that he would hurt her. She had promised them she wouldn’t ever go into her neighbour’s yard. However, kids have a lot of curiosity. They are little creatures that still have no self-control. Lily would sit on the fence separating her parents’ yard from the neighbours’ every day. She frequently peered through a hole at the enormous, gorgeous, fluffy dog. She wouldn’t be harmed, would she? She wondered.

But when she finally worked up the nerve to attempt to climb the fence one day, something happened that has since become ingrained in tiny Lily’s memory. Dinner was being made by her folks at home. Lily peered around to check if anyone was watching her. But her folks were talking nonstop. Seeing that as a chance, she climbed onto the first step of the fence and started to climb it with her little feet. Then it happened.
