The manta ray approached the young boy to be hand-fed. The local fishermen who knew about Joel’s daily routine were happy to spare some shrimp. He will then feed it to his new friend. The manta ray always looked forward to the pat it got after its meal. It will raise its fin to show how much it enjoyed the caress.

Mutual trust

The sea creature and Joel shared a mutual trust. It wasn’t afraid that Joel will hurt it, and it never got aggressive with him either.
